Designed to replace under-used only for connecting microcomputers to peripheral devices on the network, the 2S-TCP-485 converter from Comm5 Technology offers up to 1 RS232 serial output and 1 RS485 serial output at any point on a TCP/IP network, thus enabling the remote access serial ports from anywhere in the world via the IP address.
Fully functional, turned on and connected to a local network, any data that arrives in one of the serial ports will be sent to the local network and vice versa.
Another ease of access to serial ports is to use the Virtual generator software C5 doors COMMs at any workstation. This software offered by Comm5 enables the use of the serial ports of the 2S-TCP-485 converter as if they were native ports of the PC.
